Orange Cake


unsalted butter, softened- 1/2 cup

sugar – 3/4 cup

orange zest – 4 teaspoons

eggs – 2

cream – 1/2 cup

orange juice- 1/4 cup

maida- 1 1/2 cups

baking powder- 1 teaspoon

salt- 1/2 teaspoon

baking soda- 1/2 teaspoon


Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat together butter, sugar, and zest in a large bowl with an electric mixer , about 3 minutes. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating until just incorporated. Whisk in  cream and orange juice, then add remaining ingredients, whisking until just combined.Transfer batter to baking pan and bake in oven until golden ,about 30 to 40 minutes.Cool cake in pan on a rack ,  Discard paper and cool. Dust with confectioners sugar.
