BEEF FRY
INGREDIENTS:
Beef – 1 Kg
Onion – 2 (sliced)
Small Onion – ¾ cup (sliced)
Green Chilly – 4 nos
Chili Powder – 2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – ¼ teaspoon
Coriander Powder – 1 ½ teaspoon
Ginger – 2 tablespoon (chopped)
Garlic – 2 tablespoon (Chopped)
Garam Masala Powder – teaspoon
Coconut Slices – ½ cup
Curry Leaves – 4 sprigs
Salt – to taste
Coconut Oil – As required
Pepper Powder – 2 teaspoon
Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
PREPARATION:
Cut the beef into cubes and wash it neatly.
Take a pressure cooker then, add beef pieces along with turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 tablespoon chopped ginger and salt with 1 cup water. Close the cooker with lid. Cook the beef till 6 whistles.
Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan and add sliced onions. And sauté till it turns golden brown.
You can add coconut slices into the pan and continue sautéing for a few minutes.
Add the sliced small onions, green chilies, chopped ginger, chopped garlic and curry leaves in the pan, sauté and fry it well.
Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt and coriander powder into the pan. Then add cooked beef into this pan. Mix it well.
Add some coconut oil on the top and sprinkle some pepper powder on it. Mix it well.
Cover the pan with lid and cook it on a low flame for a few minutes. You can sauté it in between. Add some chopped coriander leaves on the top.
Serve hot with rice/chappathi.
