UNSC strongly condemns Pulwama attack

The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the Pulwama terror attack, surmounting the pressure imposed by China to block the move.

From what little that has been learned about the UNSC’s powerful action, it can be assumed that China has done their level best to block the move, which has given a significant diplomatic victory to India in the global platform, and which has put Beijing’s close friend, Pakistan, in a difficult situation in the world stage.

Importantly, the UNSC has named the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Many see this as a victory of India.

The UNSC, like many International organisations working for the betterment of humanity, has identified terrorism as a biggest threat for the peaceful existence of human beings.

The UNSC has indirectly demanded that Pakistan should assist India to bring all responsible for the inhuman suicide bomb attack before justice.

Except China, every country in the UNSC has taken a stand favourable to India. Notably, China has not directly tried to block the move. It has indirectly attempted for that by asking more time to decide about what stand should be taken in the issue.

The UNSC, like most western countries, has urged India and China to defuse tensions with the help of dialogues.
