Rashmika Mandanna’s old tweet hoping to ‘work with’ Vijay goes viral as Thalapathy 66 begins filming

In Thalapathy 66, actor Rashmika Mandanna has been cast opposite Vijay. The big news was announced earlier this week, with the shoot set to begin on Tuesday, Rashmika’s 26th birthday. While fans couldn’t contain their excitement over the pairing, Rashmika’s old tweet went viral, in which she expressed her desire to work with Vijay one day.

Rashmika’s tweet in question was sent on November 27, 2018. It addresses rumours that she had previously signed a film deal with Thalapathy Vijay and Atlee. Rashmika had debunked all rumours by stating that she would like to work with the two legends in the future. “A lot of you have been asking me if I’m in Vijay sir’s and Atlee sir’s film, but since that’s not happening this time, I hope I get to work with them soon,” the tweet read. I’m speechless (literally) at the outpouring of support from all of you. I will undoubtedly make my debut there in the near future. “I adore each and every one of you.”

The film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, began filming in Chennai with a prayer ceremony. It’ll be Vijay’s 66th film, and it’ll be shot in both Tamil and Telugu at the same time.

R Sarath Kumar, an actor and politician, also appears in the Vamshi Paidipally directed film. Dil Raju is in charge of the production. Vijay’s first collaboration with Rashmika and music composer Thaman is Thalapathy 66. “There we have it,” Rashmika tweeted, expressing her joy. I can’t believe this is happening, but I’m ecstatic.”Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is working on Pushpa 2: The Rule and an untitled Telugu film with Dulquer Salmaan.
