Pawar junior slams BJP leaders over Maple scam

The former deputy chief minister of Maharashtra and nephew of veteran leader Sharad Pawar, Ajith Pawar, has strongly criticised the BJP government and its leaders in the state for their alleged involvement in the Maple low-cost house controversy. He reportedly announces that the BJP-led Maharashtra government has mismanaged the entire housing scheme. Earlier, Sachin Agarwal of the Maple group, a Mumbai based real estate Company, has published advertisements in the Medias declaring that his company is planning to construct low-cost flats in the outskirts of city. In addition, he asserted that his company could provide a flat for just five-lakh rupees and the flat would include a room and a semi-kitchen. Moreover, he claimed that the project is strengthened by the prestigious central schemes like Pradan Mantri Awas Yojana. Notably, he used the picture of Prime Minister and Maharashtra Chief Minister in the advertisements given in Medias. Later, it was found that the Maharashtra government or any central scheme is not supporting his projects. On the wake of this finding, the state government initiated strong action against the tainted company and its directors. Meanwhile, the police authorities on last day announced that the culprits of the scam are still absconding. Patel questioned the claims made by police authorities and literally termed it as baseless. It seems that he is using the opportunity to shoot strong arguments against BJP government as civic polls in the state are nearing.
