Netherlands go light on removing child abuse websites

An International organisation formed to put an end to the proliferation of child abuse images through the internet platform, the Internet Watch Foundation, has found out that at least 47 per cent of the total websites that promote the child abuse content were based in the European country of Netherlands.

The organisation has also identified that at least 78 per cent of the total websites that contain this kind of unacceptable content were hosted in the developed continent of Europe.

From what the organisation has released, it can be assumed that the UK is the only country in the continent of Europe where there is a strong framework exist to prevent the proliferation of child abuse images through the internet platform.

The organisation has offered its assistance to the Netherlands government to tackle the issue of the proliferation of such images through the internet platform.
