SC panel to hear serious allegations triggered against CJI

A three member judicial panel has been constituted by the Supreme Court of India to hear some serious allegations levelled against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.

Justice S A Bobde, Justice N V Ramana and Justice Indira Banerjee are the three judges who have been selected to be a part of the highly important panel formed to address the crisis potential enough to hurt the integrity of the judicial system of the country.

Recently, a Supreme Court lawyer alleged that he was approached by a man requesting his help to file a false case against the top judge of the country. The lawyer claimed that he was offered a huge sum of over 1.5 crores for that task. In an affidavit filed before the top court, he said that he found the man who approached him struggling to explain his relation with the actual complainant.
