Increase in the number of omicron patients in the country. So far, Omicron has confirmed 578 cases. Most patients are in Delhi. In Delhi, 142 people have been diagnosed with the disease so far. The number of states confirmed by Omicron is 19.

Vigilance is on the rise in the country’s capital in the wake of the growing omicron spread. A night curfew has been declared in Delhi in the wake of the Omikron alert. The night curfew will come into effect from today. Strict control is in place from 11pm to 5am. After neighboring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, Delhi is also imposing night curfews.

The curfew was announced in the coming days, including New Year’s celebrations. Two days earlier, the Delhi government had banned gatherings for Christmas and New Year amid growing infections caused by the new Kovid variant Omicron. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has said that all celebrations should be avoided.
