Explosion at fireworks factory in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar; Three deaths
Fire Factory Explosion in Virudhunagar, Tamilnadu. Three people died. Seven people were injured.
The accident took place at Sattur Manjalotaipatti village around 8.30 am. Karuppaswamy, the owner of the firecracker shop, and his employees Senthil Kumar and Kashi were killed. The injured were admitted to Sattur Government Hospital. The condition of many is serious.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station. The building was completely destroyed. Police have registered a case against 7,000 people. Police said they were investigating whether the standards had been violated. Four people were killed in an explosion at a fireworks shop in Virudhunagar district on New Year’s Day.
