Dixon Technologies Expands Talent Pool, Onboards Global Leaders Amid Industry Talent Shortage

Dixon Technologies is strengthening its leadership team by recruiting senior professionals from international markets, including Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, and Europe. The company has already onboarded three expatriates from top firms like Wistron Corp and HKC Co, with plans for further hires. This move aligns with India’s push towards complex component production in the electronics sector, which faces a significant talent shortage, particularly in leadership roles.

A report by The Economic Times highlights that over 80 leadership positions are currently open in the electronics industry, with major players such as Tata Electronics, Zetwerk, and Amber Enterprises actively seeking top talent. Specialist firm Xpheno estimates that leadership talent constitutes only 1% of the white-collar workforce in the sector, leading to competitive compensation packages of Rs 1.5-2.5 crore per year for senior roles.

To support local manufacturing, the Indian government is expected to announce a Rs 25,000 crore incentive scheme and boost production-linked incentives for components like ACs and LED lights. Companies like Kaynes Semicon, Suchi Semicon, and Tata Electronics have strategically hired global experts to meet the rising demand for skilled leaders. This industry-wide shift reflects growing efforts to build globally competitive electronics manufacturing capabilities in India.
