Demand of grands to be the top priority in LS this week

As the current parliament-session is aggressively nearing its end, it seems that the ruling government is planning give more prominence to discussions over demand of grands this week. It is learned that the current parliament-session, the second budget session, will end on coming May 13. The parliament had witnessed heated word-exchanges and debates over the controversial Presidential rule in Uttarakhand and the AgustaWestland allegations on last week.
The opposition and ruling factions have consciously raised allegations against the top political leaders to make advantage in upcoming regional-elections. Latest in this row was Subramanian Swamy’s comment against Sonia Gandhi on the AgustaWestland controversy. Anyway, the ruling government has successfully cleared at least seven bills despite the rising disruptions in the parliament.Notably, the discussions over the working of ministry are not yet completed until now. There is at least eight more ministries remain in the list.
The clearance of the Appropriation bill is the next big agenda before the Sabha. For the timely allocation of the funds, the Appropriation bill must be passed before the end of this session. As per media reports, today’s top-priority will be the discussion on a demand of grand motion submitted by the Ministry of Social Justice. Subsequently, this motion will be put to vote. Later, the Sabha will consider the demand of grand requests of Civil Aviation department and Urban Poverty Alleviation department.
