Deepika helps acid attack victim; 15 lakh for kidney transplant
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone lends a helping hand to an acid attack victim. Deepika Padukone came to the rescue of Bala Prajapati, who co-starred in the actress’ movie Chhapaak. It is reported that the actress paid Rs 15 lakh.
The money was donated by Deepika to the Chhanv Foundation, which was set up to raise money. Bala is currently undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment. Deepika handed over the money for a kidney transplant.
Meanwhile, by mid-August, Deepika was in the news for her Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. Deepika Padukone was dropped from the film for demanding equal pay with the hero in Baiju Baura. Deepika had demanded the same reward as her husband and film hero Ranveer Singh.
