COVID-19: Two people from Rameswaram who attend Tablighi Jamaat tested positive
Two individuals from Rameswaram who had gone to Tablighi Jamaat gathering at Nizamuddin Markat in Delhi have been tried constructive for COVID-19, said Veeraragavarav, District Collector.
“17 individuals have come back to Rameswaram in the wake of going to Tablighi Jamaat occasion in Delhi. Two of the returnees have been tried positive for COVID-19 and confessed to District Government Hospital. 15 others are in confinement,” said Veeraragavarav while addressing the reporters.
The District Collector said that the remaining 15 individuals are being quaratined and checked at their homes. Then, the panchayat organization is finding a way to contain the spread of coronavirus in Kamuthi and Kenikkarai in Ramanathapuram area.
There has been an expansion of 131 COVID-19 cases over the most recent 12 hours. The all out number of COVID-19 constructive cases on Thursday rose to 1965 in India, including 1764 dynamic cases, 151 restored/released/moved individuals and 50 deaths, said Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
