Adani Reclaims Title as Asia’s Richest, Surpasses Ambani Again

Gautam Adani has once again emerged as Asia’s richest person, overtaking fellow Gujarat business magnate Mukesh Ambani, as a sustained rally in Adani Group stocks boosted his net worth to $92.6 billion. Ambani, whose wealth stands at $90.8 billion, slipped to the second spot in India and Asia, according to the latest billionaire rankings. Adani, founder of the diversified Adani Group, continues to benefit from strong investor confidence driven by India’s infrastructure growth and energy transition momentum.

Adani’s fortune is primarily tied to his holdings across the group’s 10 listed companies, which have seen a sharp surge in market value in recent months. The conglomerate has established a strong presence across sectors including ports, renewable energy, airports, logistics, and natural resources, making it one of India’s most expansive business empires. Currently ranked No. 19 on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani’s rise underscores the increasing global interest in India-linked infrastructure and green energy assets.

While Ambani’s wealth—anchored by Reliance Industries—has grown at a comparatively slower pace, the top global billionaire rankings continue to be dominated by Elon Musk, followed by Larry Page and Jeff Bezos. Adani and Ambani remain the only Indians in the global top 50, reflecting their enduring influence in the international business landscape despite periodic shifts in rankings driven by market volatility.
