IndiaMART Expands AI Push to Fight Fake Listings
IndiaMART is significantly increasing its investment in artificial intelligence, with plans to double spending on AI tools every six months. The online marketplace is using AI-powered systems to detect fake seller accounts, identify suspicious behavior patterns, and strengthen content moderation across its platform.
The company has also introduced real-time voice-to-text technology to speed up buyer inquiries, reducing reliance on manual call center operations. IndiaMART says AI is helping it filter problematic content more effectively, including counterfeit products, malicious listings, and prohibited items that can appear on large online marketplaces.
With around 220,000 sellers, 90 million monthly visitors, and approximately 600 buyer-supplier matches every minute, IndiaMART aims to scale its platform further. The company hopes to eventually reach one million sellers while improving trust, efficiency, and user experience through greater adoption of AI-driven solutions.
