12 terrorists reportedly arrived in Kerala; Extreme caution in Karnataka

Extreme vigilance in the coastal areas of Karnataka following reports that terrorists have reached the coast of Kerala. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that he is monitoring the coastal areas and forests of Karnataka to see if anything suspicious is going on. “Some things cannot be said openly. But the Karnataka Police, along with the NIA, is vigilant in combating anti-national activities, “the CM said at the Hubli airport.

The CM also said that the NIA had arrested a person on suspicion. According to the Karnataka Police, 12 terrorists arrived in Alappuzha in two boats bound for Pakistan. It is learned that they reached Alappuzha by sea via Sri Lanka. Following this, vigilance was issued in the coastal areas of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Fishermen were also warned.
