A big diplomatic victory

Briton can’t give anything better than its approval for the extradition of Vijay Mallya to the Indian rulers in this juncture. There were reports that the opposition would highlight the issue of escaped financial culprits in the upcoming general election. The victory that the Indian diplomats have achieved in Briton in the extradition case of Mallya will wash away the stains created due to the opposition’s ongoing campaign that the ruling helped the financial culprits to escape the country. The chances for the ruling to overturn the entire story are very high.

Though the permission for the extradition has been granted, the former Kingfisher owner will not be extradited soon. Mallya has been granted permission to approach the High Court. There are reports that Mallya would approach the High Court soon.

Actually, it does not matter whether Mallya has been brought back or not. The relevant matter is does the development proves how sincere is the central government to bring back the escaped financial culprits.

The biggest victory for the ruling in this matter is that the diplomatic victory has indirectly endorsed the sincerity element.

In that sense, the development has blunted the edge of a sharp knife that could have been used to severely damage the image of ruling.
