‘You’ll Sail India to New Heights’: PM Modi Urges Gen Z and Gen Alpha to Lead Viksit Bharat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called upon Gen Z and Gen Alpha to dream boldly and take the lead in shaping a developed India, describing young people as the driving force behind the nation’s future. Speaking at Veer Bal Diwas at Bharat Mandapam, Modi told the youth that their generation has the potential to take India to “new heights,” assuring them that the country stands firmly behind their ambitions.
The Prime Minister highlighted how the ecosystem for young talent has transformed, saying earlier systems discouraged big dreams, while today’s India actively searches for and nurtures talent. He pointed to initiatives such as widespread internet access, startup missions and focused growth platforms as key enablers that empower young Indians to innovate, build and excel at an early age.
Emphasising education and values, Modi said the New Education Policy promotes practical learning, innovation and critical thinking, citing Atal Tinkering Labs as examples of nurturing creativity. Drawing inspiration from the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas, he urged youth to stay principled and focused, cautioning against short-term glamour, and reaffirmed that India’s demographic advantage places young people at the centre of its journey towards a Viksit Bharat.
