WhatsApp Rolls Out New Apple Watch App with Calling & Voice Support
WhatsApp has launched a completely new app for the Apple Watch, giving users more freedom to stay connected without their iPhone. The updated experience lets users read full messages, reply, react with emojis, view images and stickers, and scroll through more chat history—all from their wrist.
For the first time, WhatsApp on Apple Watch now supports call notifications, allowing users to see who’s calling instantly. They can also record and send voice messages right from the watch, making communication quicker and more convenient during workouts or when the phone isn’t nearby.
WhatsApp reaffirmed that all messages and calls remain protected with end-to-end encryption. This upgraded app is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 10 or above, with more enhancements expected in future updates.
