Two people have been charged following the viral video of a Kerala boy raising slogans at a rally

After a boy was seen making hate slogans during a political rally in Kerala last week, a police case was filed. After the Kerala High Court expressed concerns about children being used in political and religious rallies, the situation changed.

The incident is said to have occurred last week during a march by the Popular Front of India (PFI) in coastal Alappuzha. A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the boy sitting on a man’s shoulders while shouting anti-Hindu and anti-Christian slogans in Kerala.

Isn’t it possible that they’re breeding a new generation of religious haters? This child’s mind will already be conditioned to this type of rhetoric when he grows up and becomes a major. “Something must be done,” Justice Gopinath said during the Monday hearing.

The National Commission for the Protection of Children’s Rights pressed the Kerala police to file a FIR, and one person was arrested as a result. The individual is from Erattupetta in Kottayam. He’s thought to have brought the child to the rally.

In this case, the police have also charged PFI Alappuzha district president Nawas Vandanam and District Secretary Mujeeb.

During a march in Alappuzha on Saturday, PFI officials said they had a set of official slogans. “This one wasn’t one of them. The march drew a large number of workers from various locations. When volunteers became aware of this slogan, they decided not to raise it “PTI news agency quoted PFI officials as saying.

Shashi Tharoor, a Congressman, condemned the incident on Twitter “Kerala has been shocked by the video of the incident and media reports. Hate speech and intimidating slogans are abhorrent, regardless of the politics or religion of those who use them. Opposing communism entails opposing communism on all fronts “.

Meanwhile, BJP leader KJ Alphons expressed concern about the state’s growing radicalization.

“The video is a complete shocker. I am not surprised because I have witnessed similar events in Kerala over the last 10-15 years. Kerala is quickly becoming ISIS’s largest testing ground. Consider how many people have travelled to Syria and Iraq “Mr. Alphons explained.
