Suji Balls/Semolina Balls

Suji Balls are delicious breakfast item and can be made easily. It can be a good tiffin snack or tea time snack or breakfast especially for bachelors.
Ingredients
- 1 cup suji
- 2.5 cup water
- 1/4 cup coconut powder
- 4-5 green chillies
- 8-10 garlic pods
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 onion finely chopped for tempering
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- 5-6 green chillies
- 7-8 curry leaves
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp haldi
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp lime juice
How to make Suji Balls/Semolina Balls
- Firstly in a non stick pan dry roast the Suji/semolina. Transfer it in a plate.
- Now coarsely grind green chiilies & garlic
- Now in the same pan heat 1 tbsp oil and saute the paste of chillies garlic for 2 mins.
- Now add water and mix it well. Now add coconut powder stir it well.
- Let it boil for 2 mins then add the suji/semolina and stir well.
- See that there is no lumps formed
- Cook on low flame till it starts leaving sides and the mixture it turned to a lump.
- Transfer it in a plate and let it cool. Now knead it nicely to a soft dough.
- Make lemon size balls and put them.in a steamer and steam it for 10 mins on medium flame.
- Now take another pan and heat 1 tbsp oil add cumin seeds a the roast it.
- Now add the peanuts and roast. Add green chillies and curry leaves saute it nicely.
- Now add onion and saute till it turns to pinkish in colour.
- Now add turmeric red chilli powder and salt mix it well.
- Now add the ball mix it well.on low flame and cook for 4_5 mins.
- Off the flame garnish with coriander and squeeze lime juice.
- Serve hot
