Shahid Kapoor clears the rumour surrounding his fee hike to 40 crore

‘Kabir Singh’ starer Shahid Kapoor is rejoicing the success of the movie as it becomes most successful film of 2019. ‘Kabir Singh’ was the first solo film of Shahid to cross 200 crore. It is running successful on the fifth week, even it had a mixed reviews from critics.

According to the reports post the success of ‘Kabir Singh’ Shahid has raised his fees to 40 crore per film. He will be next seen in the Hindi remake of the movie ‘Jersey’ starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath. Director Karan Johar has gained the rights of remake and if according to the reports it would be half the budget of the entire film.

Shahid Kapoor in his recent interview cleared about the rumour of his fee hike to 40 crore post the success of ‘Kabir Singh’. Shahid said he has exactly the same bank balance before ‘Kabir Singh’ and to get paid he has to sign another project. And he also added Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani are the only people making money according to him.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Kabir Singh’ is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Telugu movie “Arjun Reddy’. Shahid Kapoor played the title, character Kabir Singh as Vijay Devarakonda in ‘Arjun Reddy’. Kiara Advani, Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi, Kamini Kaushal, Adil Hussain and Nikita Dutta are the other actors playing pivotal role in the film. The film was released on June 21.
