Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Vicky Kaushal attend Karan Johar’s Big Fat Bollywood Party

On Wednesday night, Karan Johar celebrated his 50th birthday with a lavish bash at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Everyone in Bollywood who was anyone was there, and those who weren’t had good reason to be. Alia Bhatt, who is mentored by Karan Johar, and Deepika Padukone were among the notable absences.

Deepika is currently on jury duty at the Cannes Film Festival, while Alia is filming her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, two of Karan Johar’s closest friends, were also absent from the red carpet. Gauri, on the other hand, shared photos from the party on Instagram and was also present at a smaller gathering at KJo’s home the night before to celebrate his birthday.

At Karan Johar’s big fat Bollywood birthday party, nearly everyone else made a statement. The celebrity list was topped by Salman Khan, with whom the filmmaker reportedly had tense relations in the past (now clearly a thing of the past).

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who married in December, attended together. After returning from Cannes, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan made a glamorous couple’s entrance – Abhishek and Karan Johar have been friends since they were children.

Preity Zinta and husband Gene Goodenough, Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, and others were spotted in the couple’s corner.

Twinkle Khanna, Karan Johar’s old friend, was unable to attend due to her husband Akshay Kumar’s recent recovery from COVID. The party was also attended by Sonali Bendra, Tabu, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, and Raveena Tandon.

On his birthday, Karan Johar, who is currently directing Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, announced an action film.
