Reliance to Temporarily Shut Units at Major Refinery for Maintenance
Reliance Industries is set to temporarily shut some units at its 660,000 barrels-per-day refinery for routine maintenance, according to a government official. The planned shutdown is expected to last around three to four weeks and is part of standard operational upkeep.
The maintenance work will begin after Nayara Energy resumes operations later this month, ensuring minimal disruption to fuel supply. The move reflects coordinated planning within the sector to balance output and maintenance schedules.
Sources indicated that the shutdown will include a crude processing unit along with several secondary units at the refinery. Despite the temporary halt, the impact on overall production is expected to be managed through adjustments across facilities.
