Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Debuts in India with Better Battery, 3K Video and Hindi AI Support

Meta and Ray-Ban have launched the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in India, packed with major upgrades aimed at enhancing everyday wearable technology. Priced from ₹39,900, the Gen 2 model brings double the battery life, improved AI features and sharper video recording, making it a more powerful and convenient option for users. The glasses are now available across Ray-Ban India stores and top optical retailers nationwide.

The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) offers 3K Ultra HD video capture, ultrawide HDR, and up to eight hours of continuous use. The charging case adds another 48 hours of backup and provides a 50% top-up in just 20 minutes. Upcoming software updates will also introduce new recording modes like slow-motion and hyperlapse. Meta’s integrated AI assistant has been upgraded with full Hindi support, allowing users to issue commands, take photos and ask questions hands-free using “Hey Meta.”

A set of new features further enriches the experience, including a Celebrity AI Voice option featuring Deepika Padukone. Meta is also testing a UPI-Lite payment feature that enables users to scan and pay by simply looking at a QR code, linked directly through WhatsApp. The glasses come in classic Wayfarer, Skyler and Headliner styles, along with fresh colours such as Shiny Cosmic Blue, Shiny Mystic Violet and Shiny Asteroid Grey.
