Delhi Police under the guidance of Commissioner of Police has been constantly taking initiative to improve its Service delivery to the people of Delhi and in the same direction and its endeavour Delhi Police has, now, launched a Web-application for issue of online ‘Police Clearance Certificate’ for the benefit of public of Delhi, inaugurated by Shri Raj Nath Singh, Hon’ble Home Minister, G.O.I. at 11 AM on 08.08.2014 at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
A person is required a ‘Police Clearance Certificate’ whenever he is going to apply for ‘VISA’ to settle himself permanently in foreign country as the foreign mission does not give ‘permanent VISA’ without submitting ‘Police Clearance Certificate’ and for this purpose he has to visit police station and other police offices, which is time-consuming i.e. it takes 15 to 20 days in the whole process. Now, by using this Web-application on Delhi Police Website www.delhipolice.nic.in by registering himself, he can apply online for PCC and that applicant will get digitally signed PCC within 7 working days thorough his e-mail address provided by him.
The PCC can be used by the applicant for his employment purpose. Private organization can also get benefit from this facility. Through this Web-application a person can apply for PCC on-line by paying a government fees of Rs. 250/- per person and Rs. 500/- per organization. Now, no one is required to visit police station or other police offices for getting PCC and we are hopeful that millions of people will get benefit from this ‘Service’ and there will be no inconvenience to anyone, in this regard.
