Ports in Gujarat on high alert

All major ports in the Indian state of Gujarat have been put on high alert. The alert has been sounded after the intelligence agency informed the state about the possibility of Pakistan-trained commandos having entered the Gulf of Kutch situated near the state.

Notably, the Border Security Force has found nearly two boats abandoned in Harami Nala area of Gujarat. However, no suspicious activity has been reported from the area.

All posts in the coast of Gujarat have been directed to take maximum security measures. The posts have also been directed to inform their shipping agents about the situation.

The aforesaid infiltrators are said to be trained in underwater attack. The exact identities of the infiltrators have not been released yet.

At the moment, the only thing that is known is a group from the rouge neighbour state may infiltrate into the country with an unknown motive. That information too is incomplete and is unacknowledged.

The security force has conducted thorough search operation across the region in connection with the issue. No specious activity has been found.

From what little is known about the alleged infiltration attempt, there is nothing to get panic about.

More details in the story are awaited.
