Actor Jayaram in Mani Ratnam’s next venture

Director Mani Ratnam is working on the pre-production of his next dream venture ‘Ponniyin Selvan‘. While Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has earlier confirmed to be part of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, the latest cast added to the string is Malayalam actor Jayaram.

As per the the actor didn’t openly confirmed about being part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, in a recent interview, but Jayaram has apparently said that he is privileged to be a part of a project in Tamil. He went on to say that project is in its beginning stages and that he will be playing a bigger part in the biggest film of Tamil Film history.

With this it is clearly evident that he must be referring to Mani Ratnam’s big-budgeted project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The story thread of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ spans years and more than 50 characters. According to the reports Vikram will be doing the role of Aditya Karikaalan in the film, which role will be played by Jayaram is still a suspense. It was also rumored that Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Sundara Chozhar, Sathyaraj as Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandhini, Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman, Keerthy Suresh as Kunthavai Naachiyaar and Karthi as Vanthiya Devan in Mani Ratnam’s creation.

Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions will jointly produce the movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
