AK 62: Ajith Kumar Teams Up with Director Vignesh Shivan

Ajith Kumar, who is currently enjoying the success of Valimai while working on his 61st film, has reportedly confirmed his 62nd project. According to recent reports, the Veeram actor will collaborate with director Vignesh Shivan on a film tentatively titled AK62. The blockbuster duo of Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara as the female lead and Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer, will star in this film.

“Shooting for the film will begin by the end of the year, with a mid-next-year release.” The rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon,” Lyca said in a press release on Friday. The blockbuster song Naanga Vera Mathiri’ from Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ was written by Vignesh Shivan and became a chartbuster hit.

Meanwhile, Ajith’s 61st film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting soon. The film, tentatively titled AK61, brings together the blockbuster trio of H Vinoth, Boney Kapoor, and Ajith Kumar. After Nerkonda Paarvai’ and ‘Valimai,’ AK61 is the trio’s third collaboration. Vignesh Shivan is currently anticipating the release of his film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which will hit theatres on April 28. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Samantha play the lead roles in the film.
