Pomegranate can regulate blood pressure, fight heart disease

Pomegranate is a Middle East fruit, which came to the Indian soil with the Arabs who reached in this country as invaders.

Now, this fruit is a common fruit in India. Though it is commercially cultivated only in Maharashtra in our country, there are many small pomegranate farms in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.

There is no dispute in the fact that the Indian climatic condition and the soil texture are perfect for the commercial cultivation of this fruit.

Normally, this fruit is consumed fresh or in the value-added form of juice, jam, squash and syrup.

The unsurprising fact is that there are many health benefits for this fruit. Unfortunately, many of us are unaware of it.

It is the rich source of fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Iron and anti-oxidants (tannins). It can regulate blood pressure, fight heat diseases, and eliminate inflammations.

Pomegranate juice is the tastiest juice available in the country. Try to include this fruits in daily diet.
