PM Modi To Attend “Veer Bal Diwas” Event In Delhi On Monday
On December 26, the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium will host a “historic” event honouring “Veer Bal Diwas,” according to the prime minister’s office.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi would participate in a “Shabad Kirtan” performed by approximately 300 “Baal Kirtanis” and also start a march-past by over 3,000 kids in Delhi.
The government, it added, is organising interactive and participatory activities around the nation to teach and educate the populace, particularly young children, about the narrative of the “sahibzades,” the descendants of the last Sikh guru Gobind Singh, who gave their lives in defence of their faith.
There will be organised activities at schools and colleges all around the nation, including essay writing contests and quiz tournaments. According to the statement, digital exhibits will be placed up in public locations such as airports, gas stations, and train stations.
The statement claimed that ceremonies will be held across the nation during which dignitaries will recount the struggles and sacrifices of the last Sikh guru’s murdered sons.
To commemorate the martyrdom of the Sikh guru’s sons Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, Prime Minister Modi declared December 26 to be “Veer Bal Diwas” on January 9, the anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth.
