‘No video or song on mobile loudspeaker on bus’; Karnataka High Court
The Karnataka High Court has barred the viewing of video and songs by turning on the loudspeaker on the mobile phone while traveling in a bus. The Karnataka High Court has ordered people not to turn on the mobile loudspeaker and watch videos or listen to music while traveling in Karnataka RTC Buses. The court action is based on a writ petition.
The complainants demanded that noise pollution inside the bus be controlled. The petitioner also demanded that music be restricted from listening to music on a mobile phone and using earphones while traveling in a bus. The High Court directed the authorities to ask passengers not to use mobile phones in a way that could cause inconvenience to other passengers. The court also ordered that the passenger be dropped off the bus if the instruction was not complied with.
