Massive Traffic Jams Ahead Of Diwali Across Delhi And Gurugram
People in Delhi are thronging the markets in droves to purchase for holiday gifts as Diwali approaches. As a result, there are now backups of traffic in various areas of the city.
On social media, a video of one such enormous jam is becoming viral. The ambulance is seen in the traffic gridlock in the footage, which was recorded at the Sarhaul border on the Delhi-Gurugram road.
Due to the pre-Diwali holiday rush, Gurugram saw significant traffic congestion on Sunday, according to traffic police authorities. Five kilometres of traffic were backed up on the section of road between Hero Honda Chowk and Pataudi Road. There have also been reports of traffic jams on Sohna Road heading towards Badshahpur, Sohna, Pataudi, and Farrukhnagar. Additionally, officials noted that internal roadways in Sectors 10, 14, 15, 50, and 56 were congested all day.
In order to purchase firecrackers from the only wholesale market in the area, hundreds of people from the Delhi NCR travelled to Gadoli hamlet. Gadoli’s cracker businesses are set along a two-kilometer area that was entirely crowded. Internal roads were jam-packed due to careless parking as people went shopping for Diwali at local markets.
