Maoists plans to create new camp in MP-Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh tri-junction

As the far-left militants are losing its strength in Bastar, the Maoists are planning to create a new camp in the strategical Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh tri-junction.

Traditionally, Bastar is the stronghold of the left wing extremists. It is said that that once it was one of the inaccessible regions in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. But, for the last few years, the things have been slowly changing as the authorities have been systematically increasing the presence of CRPF soldiers in this period. Notably, the CRPF has, in the near past, also managed to establish some military camps in the region.

As per the report, the new developments have prompted the Maoists to think about the possibility of creating a new camp.

According to the report, the new wing which is going to be established in the strategical region has been named as Vistara platoon.

It is unlikely that the new unit gets acceptance in the region. Unlike the people of Bastar, the people living in this crucial tri-junction are more educated and are more connected to the external world.

At this moment, it is not clear how the security forces will tackle the new military strategy conceptualised by the far-leftists.
