Manappuram Miss South India 2017
The 15th edition of Miss South India organised by Ajit Ravi, the Chairman of Pegasus event production company, is scheduled to take place on January 27 at Camelot convention centre, Alappuzha.
The event, in which nearly eighteen participants hailing from five major South Indian states is expected to contest for becoming the South Indian beauty queen, is supported by the Manappuram Finance Limited and Unique Times Magazine.
In the event that highlights the Indian cultural values, Reshma Nambiar (Kochi), Samantha Jose (Thrissur), Anu Treesa (Kottayam), Reshma Nambiar (Kozhikode) will represent Kerala.
The event will have three major rounds such as designer saree round, red cocktail round and black gown round. It’s grooming session comprising of yoga, meditation, personality development, beauty care, catwalk training, photoshoot and talent search will begin on January 21 at Beaumonde The Fern, Kochi, and is expected to deliver more confidence and enthusiasm to the participants.
The renowned personalities in the modelling field will lead the grooming session; and the judging panel will be constituted of some exceptional personalities in the film and modelling industry.
The prize money for the winner and second runner-up- one lakh rupees and forty thousand rupees- is gifted by the Manappuram Finance Limited while the prize money for the first runner-up- sixty thousand rupees- is contributed by Wow Factor. The crown awarded to the winners is designed by Parakkat Jewellers.
Apart from the top three winners, the judges will also select Miss Queen Andhra, Miss Queen Karnataka, Miss Queen Kerala, Miss Queen Telangana, Miss Queen Tamil Nadu, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Personality, Miss Catwalk, Miss Perfect Ten, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Social Media and Miss Viewer’s Choice.
Ajit Ravi says that for the contestants it is their first step towards the internationally acclaimed beauty contest organised by Pegasus, the Miss Asia.
The contestants have been selected following the professional audition session held in Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
The tickets to the event are strictly reserved for the invited guests. The attendees are advised to follow the dress code of the event: black costume.
