Income tax inspection at the house of SP leader Pushpraj Jain in UP

Inspection at SP leader’s companies by the Income Tax Department in Uttar Pradesh. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting a search of the house and office of Samajwadi Party leader Pushpraj Jain. The day before, a central agency had inspected the premises of businessman Piyush Jain.

Earlier, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav had alleged that the Income Tax department had misunderstood Piyush Jain as Pushpraj Jain. This was followed by an inspection of Pushpraj Jain’s establishments.

A search of Piyush Jain’s house turned up Rs 257 crore. The money was found at his residence in Kanpur and at institutions in various states. 90 crore was recovered from the house alone. Pictures of two large cupboards full of cash were also released.
