Hero MotoCorp to Invest ₹32 Billion in Andhra Pradesh, Creating 4,000 Jobs

Hero MotoCorp has announced an investment of more than ₹32 billion (around $336 million) in Andhra Pradesh to strengthen its manufacturing, logistics, and electric mobility operations. A key part of the investment includes over ₹7.5 billion for the development of a global parts centre, which will support both domestic and international spare parts distribution while enhancing the company’s global supply chain.

The expansion will significantly boost the production capacity of Hero MotoCorp’s Tirupati manufacturing facility, increasing annual output to between 1.2 million and 1.5 million units. The Tirupati plant also serves as the company’s primary hub for designing, engineering, and manufacturing its entire electric vehicle portfolio, reinforcing its importance in Hero’s future growth plans.

Hero MotoCorp said the investment is expected to create around 4,000 jobs in the state. The announcement comes as Andhra Pradesh continues to attract major industrial investments, aiming to secure $1 trillion in commitments by 2029. The state has recently drawn large manufacturing projects from companies such as Royal Enfield and is also pursuing significant investments in rare earth and titanium sectors.
