Giving a surprise to all those who have anticipated the promising comeback of the Congress Party under the guidance and leadership of newly elected congress president Rahul Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has demonstrated astounding performance in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly election.

Of the two assembly elections, the one occurred in Gujarat has been more important than the other, as unlike the latter in which the congress has no hope, the grand old party has succeeded in forming an anti-BJP force bringing Dalits, Muslim, a section of Patidar community, and all those who are not happy with the NDA’s policies and ideologies together in a single platform under the command of four youth leaders Rahul Gandhi, Hardik Patel, Jignesh Mevani and Alpesh Thakor in the former.

Political observers points out that the BJP has several advantages in the state. It has a well-organised party system which has the capacity to reach every individual directly, they add. The congress, even after winning the support of several anti-BJP elements, has lacked such a well-organised structure, they further add.

As per the latest information, the BJP has secured almost one hundred seats in Gujarat and nearly forty seats in Himachal Pradesh. It is learned that the Congress Party has also secured almost eighty seats in Gujarat and nearly twenty two seats in HP.
