Golden Globe’s Awards announced; Chadwick Boseman wins Best Actor Drama Award for Ma Rainey

Chadwick Boseman won the Prestigious Globe for Best Performance by an ‘Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama’ for his kinetic performance as a tragic young trumpet player opposite Davis in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” Last August, at the age of 43, the “Black Panther” actor died of cancer.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 78th Golden Globe Awards this year. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm took home two major awards, while Nomadland won Best Motion Picture (Drama). Minari, a Korean film, won the Foreign Language Oscar, and Nomadland’s Chloe Zhao became the second woman to receive a Golden Globe.

British royal drama “The Crown,” comedy “Schitt’s Creek,” and limited-series chess saga “The Queen’s Gambit” were among the big winners of Golden Globe awards.

Three female directors were nominated for the award this year, making history: Chloe Zhao for Nomadland, Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman and Regina King for One Night in Miami.
