Ajay Devgn’s car blocked demanding actor to speaks on farmers’ protest; Man from Punjab arrested
As per the reports on Tuesday a 28-year-elderly person was arrested for supposedly obstructing actor Ajay Devgn’s vehicle outside Film City in Goregaon. The man requested to know why the actor had not stood up on the side of farmers challenging the Center’s new agri marketing laws, Mumbai police said.
Rajdeep Singh, an occupant of Santosh Nagar area in the northern suburb, is a driver hailing from Punjab, one of the states from which countless framers have accumulated close to Delhi for the protests, said an authority.
The Dindoshi police headquarters official said that “the occurrence occurred around 10:30am. Singh halted Devgn’s vehicle and requested to know why the actor had not spoken on the side of the fighting farmers. A complaint was lodged by Devgn’s protector Pradeep Indrasen Gautam after which Singh was arrested.”
Singh was charged under IPC sections 341 (wrongful restraint) 504 (ntentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation), said Senior Inspector Dharmendra Kamble of Dindoshi police headquarters. “He is against Punjab”, said the 28-year-elderly person who tried halting Ajay Devgn’s vehicle close to FilmCity in Mumbai, on Tuesday. He asked the actor to help the continuous farmers fight.
