Rs.2,100 Crore collected for constructing Ayodhya Ram Temple

Rs.2,100 crore was collected as part of the fundraising campaign for the construction of the Ayodhya Ram temple. The drive was a 45-day-long nationwide fundraiser and is the biggest campaign of the world.

Led by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), the fundraising campaign started this year on Makar Sankranti and ended this Sunday.

The crowdfunding campaign began on January 15 and was expected to raise around Rs.1,100 crore for the construction of the Ram temple. The drive, however, received Rs.2,100 crore which was more than expected. Ayodhya diviners have informed the temple trust to use the surplus funds for the development of Ayodhya and have warned against misusing the funds donated by crores of Ram Bhakts.
