GE HealthCare Eyes More Than 2X Export Growth from India by 2030

GE HealthCare is targeting more than a twofold increase in exports from India by 2030, while aiming for 75% of its India revenue to come from products designed and manufactured locally. The company has announced an ₹8,000-crore investment over five years, with around 30–35% already deployed across engineering, manufacturing and distribution.

India is a key innovation hub for GE HealthCare, hosting its largest engineering centre globally and its biggest facility for developing AI applications. The company exports to nearly 70 countries, with India-developed technologies being used globally across MRI, CT and PET CT. It is also investing in AI-enabled medical equipment and digital connectivity to improve healthcare access in smaller cities.

GE HealthCare said innovation-led and export-led growth will remain its key priorities. The company is open to strategic acquisitions that could strengthen its engineering capabilities, manufacturing capacity or market differentiation, while the remaining investment will be deployed over the next three to three-and-a-half years.
