Fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari nabbed

Dreaded gangster Ravi Pujari, who was absconding, has been napped from the African country of Burkina Faso, marking an end to his decades-long criminal life.

Mr. Pujari, who was an associate of gangster Chotta Rajan, was a very aggressive criminal in the early 1990s. He fled to Bangkok through Nepal, when the Mumbai police lunched a powerful operation to end his criminal life.

Sensing the fact that he is not safe in the Asian region, he changed his base to Africa. Before settling in Burkina Faso, he briefly halted in Senegal.

He obtained a Burkina Faso passport. He travelled many countries with that passport. He even visited the United States of America with the passport.

Several cases are pending against him in various courts across the country. Even in Kerala, there is a case pending against this gangster.

In Africa, he lived the life of a business man. He owns a restaurant in the African country of Burkina Faso.

The police will investigate about his recent international visits – particularly the purpose of the visits.

Interestingly, Mr. Pujari’s mentor, Mr. Rajan is at present in an Indian jail. He was earlier arrested from a foreign country by a team sent to look for the gangster.
