FMB Awards announced
Kochi: Eleventh edition of Manappuram Minnalai film Tv Awards (FMB Award) have been announced. The chairman of Pegasus Event Production company, Mr. Ajit Ravi, announces; “the award function has been organised to felicitate those exceptional personalists who have delivered extraordinary performance in the film and television sectors.”
Under the film category, Dileesh Pothan (Maheshinte prathikaram) has been selected for the Best Director award, while Manikandan Achari (Kammattipadam) and Anushree (Maheshinte prathikaram, Oppam, Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho ) have chosen for the titles of the Best Actor and the Best Actress respectively.
Moreover, Shane Nigam ( Kismath )has been picked for the new hero award and Hanna Reji Koshy ( Darvinte Parinamam) for the new heroin award. Mean while John Kaipallil( Ann Maria Kalippilanu ) has been chosen for the Best Villain award. Anyway, Johnpaul George ( Guppy ) has been selected for the new director award.
Under the Television and Media category, the selected persons are Biju Sopanam(the Best Actor) ( UppumMulakum, Flowers Tv ); Avantika Mohan (the Best Actress) ( Atmasakhi, MazhavilManorama );P Sasikanth (The Best News Cameraman) ( Amrita ); AbhilashMohanan (the Best News Reader-Male) (Reporter Tv ); Sujaya Parvati (the Best News Reader-Female) (Asianet News); EnteKeralam(Best News Documentary) (Asianet News);Deepak Dharmadam (the Best Investigative Report) ( Amrita Tv);Sahin Antony (the Best Social Commitment Report) (Reporter Tv); and Naveen Varghese (the Best Business News Report) (Asianet News), Excellence in Arts and Literature – Dr. P. Sajeevkumar.
Meanwhile, the Positive News (Jeevan Tv) and Truth Inside ( Media One) has been selected as the Best Social Commitment Program and the Crime Branch ( People Tv) has been chosen as the Best Investigative Program.
It is announced that Akhil Das ( Manorama News) will get the special jury award for the best cameraman news.

The awards will be presented to the winners on the Manappuram F.M.B award night which will be held on 17thMay at 7 PM at Ramada Resorts. The winners of Pegasus Celebrity Cricket Tournament will also be awarded on the same stage. The tournament which will commence on 13th May will have its final round on 17thMay. Directors Eleven, Ideas Cricket Club, Team Producers, Television Tigers, Cochin Music Challengers, Media Strikers Kerala, Master Blasters, Maa Fighters, Celebrity Rising Stars are the teams which will battle it out for the tournament title.
Manappuram Finance Ltd, Z – Stone Smartphones, UT TV channel, Cosmos Sports, Sunrise Hospital, Ramada Resorts, D-Que watches and Aiswaria Advertising are the event partners of the FMB award night.
