Congress president asks Sam Pitroda to say apology over his anti-Sikh comment as PM Modi intensifies his campaign around the issue

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has asked Congress leader Sam Pitroda to say apology over his anti-Sikh remark as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified his campaign around the issue.

Mr Pitroda’s comment has put the Grand Old Party in a deep trouble. What that has worsened the crisis is the initial silence of the Congress leadership, including its, so called, vocal leader Rahul Gandhi.

The anti-Sikh riot is one of the most darkest marks lies over the white history of the Grand Old Party.

When speaking about that darkest mark, the Overseas Congress President said that “hua to hua” (whatever happened has happened).

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cited the statement of the Congress leader as the reflection of that party’s leaders’ arrogance.

He has repeatedly mentioned the statement in almost all public campaign meetings he has attended recently.

A political expert says that the delay of the Congress leadership to come up with a proper defence against the ruling’s campaign around Mr Pitroda’s statement has inflicted severe damages to the party.

Recently, PM Modi, in order to highlight the magnitude of the effect of the riot in the lives of innocent Sikh people, pointed out that as many as two thousand Sikh people were killed during the riot in Delhi alone.

Another political expert says that it is better for the Congress not to let the BJP’s political campaign stick too much around the topic of the riot. He adds that it should advise its leaders to handle the sensitive subjects like the anti-Sikh riot with care.

What is evident here is that the present Congress leadership has no clear idea how to handle the subject and the BJP wisely makes the maximum political benefit about of the Congress’ inability to handle sensitive questions.
