CHICKEN BIRIYANI

INGREDIENTS:
Rice – 3 cups
Chicken – 1/2 Kg
Onion – 4 nos
Tomato – 4 nos
Curd – 1/2 cup
Mint leaves – 1/2 bunch
Coriander leaves – A bunch
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Clove – 4 nos
Cardamom – 4 nos
Cinnamon – 1stick
Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Cashew nuts – 15 nos
Ghee – 1/4 cup
Green chilli – 6 nos
Salt – As required
PREPARATION:
Soak rice in water and then drain. Fry the rice and keep it aside. In a pressure cooker add some ghee and fry the onions, spices, tomato, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves and turmeric powder, until red. Grind cashews. Mix the cashew paste with the curd. Add the chicken and curd mixture into the masala and mix well. Add salt to it. On top of this, spread the rice and add about 5 cups of water.
