BlueStone Plans to Double Store Network and Expand Across India’s High Streets
Jewellery retailer BlueStone has announced plans to more than double its store network and significantly expand its workforce by fiscal 2030. Backed by Prosus, the company aims to increase its stores from 340 to 705 while growing its retail workforce from around 2,100 to 4,000 employees. Most of the new outlets will be opened on high streets instead of shopping malls.
BlueStone CEO Gaurav Singh Kushwaha said the company has already established a presence in nearly 90% of India’s premium malls, leaving limited room for further expansion in that segment. With a shortage of high-quality mall space across the country, around three-fourths of BlueStone’s future stores are expected to be located on high streets.
The company is also targeting revenue of ₹120 billion by fiscal 2030, up from ₹23.42 billion in fiscal 2026. Despite fluctuating gold prices, BlueStone remains confident about its growth strategy, joining other leading jewellery retailers in continuing expansion while hoping for stable gold prices to support business growth.
