Aryan’s custody ends today; Bail will be granted again
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested another man in a drug case involving actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, bringing the total to 17. Eight people, including Aryan, his friend Arbas Merchant and model Mun Mun Dhamecha, will be produced in court today.
Asked why he was being held in custody without seizing the drug, Aryan’s lawyer said he would apply for bail again today. Relatives of many of those arrested have approached the NCB office alleging that innocent people have been arrested. Meanwhile, the Cordelia luxury cruise ship Navratri has announced a festive party package.
Nawab Malik, a NCP spokesperson and Maharashtra minister, alleged that the drug case was fabricated and that BJP leader Manish Bhanusali and a private detective were with the NCB team that carried out the raid. Bhanushali was also in Gujarat at the time of the Rs 21,000 crore intoxication at the Mundra port in Gujarat. The allegation was made at a press conference. The NCB denied the allegations and did not respond to a query about private individuals involved in the raid.
