Another feat for ISRO : Launches 31 Satellites on Friday.

ISRO is all set to launch Cartosat-2 series, its Earth observing satellite on Friday. The Cartosat-2 series that weighs 712 Kg would be launched with 30 co- passenger satellites with comprises of 1 Indian and 20 foreign satellites with its rocket Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), the Indian space agency said on Tuesday. The PSLV rocket’s XL variant is expected to launch off on Friday mornings at 9.29 a.m from the Sriharikota rocket port.

The total weigh of all the 31 satellites would be 955 Kg including the 712 Kg Cartosat. The weigh of the rest 20 satellite sums upto 243 Kg.

Off the 30 Co – Passenger satellites , only 1 belong to India. Rest 29 nano satellites belong to 14 different countries that include Austria, Belgium, Britain,Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and The USA.
