KFC India Apology regarding post supporting on ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’
KFC Pakistan posted a post congratulating Pakistan on Kashmir Solidarity Day. Following this, social media protests against KFC are on the rise in India.
The campaign against South Korean automaker Hyundai is intensifying after an earlier Kashmir solidarity tweet did not provide a clear response. Indians continue to criticize the company with the tag Boycott Hyundai over the dealer’s social media post in Pakistan.
‘You never leave our thoughts. We will bring peace to you next year, Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris’ – says KFC Pakistan’s Facebook post. The post is in red letters. The post, which was earlier posted on February 5 at 1.18 pm, was reportedly withdrawn at 6.15 pm on February 7 due to strong protests.
After that, KFC India apologized for the incident through their Twitter account. They apologized in a post published by some KFC social media channels outside the country. We respect and honor India. KFC India said in a Twitter post that it is ready to serve the pride of Indians.
At the same time it does not contain protests against Hyundai. The controversy against Hyundai Motor Company started two days ago. Their Pakistani dealer tweeted on the company’s Twitter handle against the cancellation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The tweet was on the Twitter handle of Hyundai Pakistan official. The picture was accompanied by a barbed wire fence with the word Kashmir and a boat on Dal Lake.
